Template:FIPS displays the specified FIPS state and place codes, with an external link to 2020 United States Census population data for the associated place.

Usage

Places

{{FIPS|SS|PPPPP}}

1. SS is the 2-digit FIPS state code
2. PPPPP is the 5-digit FIPS place code

{{FIPS|p=SSCCCPPPPP}}

|p= is a 10-digit code, where SSCCC is the 5-digit FIPS county code (first two digits are FIPS state code) and PPPPP is the 5-digit FIPS place code

Examples for Amanda (village), Ohio:

{{FIPS|p=3904501630}} → 3904501630

County subdivisions

{{FIPS|SS|PPPPP|CCC}}

1. SS is the 2-digit FIPS state code
2. PPPPP is the 5-digit FIPS place code
3. CCC is the last 3 digits of the FIPS county code (first two digits are FIPS state code)

{{FIPS|cs=SSCCCPPPPP}}

|cs= is a 10-digit code, where SSCCC is the 5-digit FIPS county code (first two digits are FIPS state code) and PPPPP is the 5-digit FIPS place code
